 ABOUT

NAKUONA (I See You - Swahili) events celebrate the leadership, community support and business achievements of men and women from African and Global Majority heritage in Birmingham. There will be excellent opportunities to learn from fantastic speakers and community leaders who will forward their life journey insights.

Let us eat and celebrate together.

Dr Judith Bruce-Golding is the Founder of Nakuona and Co-Founder of the Cornerstone Project. She is an Educator, Researcher, Vocal Performer, Mental Health First Aid Trainer and Therapeutic Project Organiser.

Sue Brown is the Co-Founder of Nakuona and the Cornerstone Project Founder. She is an Award-Winning Television and Radio Presenter 2019, Spoken Word Artist, Creative Writer and Community Project Facilitator.

Our event celebrated the progress of Black female businesses and individuals in Birmingham.
